Orthomax in 2018 & Beyond

Dear Valued Customer,

I would like to thank you for your ongoing support of ORTHOMAX throughout 2017. It has been a very busy year for us as we continue to move forward into this new era of orthodontics in the digital age – as well as prepare for ASO Congress in March 2018, and our next BENEfit Palatal Anchorage Course and 2nd Australian Users Group meeting in Melbourne late August – early September. We genuinely appreciate your business and enjoy working with you and providing value to you with high quality orthodontic products along with professional and friendly customer service.

I would also like to take this opportunity to advise you of an imminent change relating to our product range in 2018 (and beyond).

I have just received advice that our seventeen year relationship with GAC International / Dentsply GAC is to conclude and as of January 6th 2018 we will no longer be supplied with their products.

Whilst this announcement may appear surprising to those outside ORTHOMAX, in reality I have anticipated this change for some time now. We thank GAC for the opportunities they have provided and wish them well with their future plans, however also believe it is essential that you are provided with accurate information in relation to this change.

One of the most important issues to be aware of is that over 95% of our products are not sourced from GAC International and therefore we believe the impact on the majority of customers will be minimal (if any). Core products such as brackets, buccal tubes, bands, wires from the Sentalloy family etc remain unaffected by this change as all these products are manufactured and supplied directly by TOMY in Japan. The majority of other products in our range are also sourced from other suppliers and manufacturers in Europe and the USA and thus are also completely unaffected.

Of the products sourced from GAC International, those affected are predominantly peripheral in nature. Examples of these include Essix retainer materials, some retainer cases and elastomerics, and NeoBond adhesives. Whilst we still have some stock of these items available for purchase at this time, we are also well placed to assist you with direct replacements or substitute products in order to avoid any disruption to your practices. We are more than happy to provide you with samples of these products to evaluate wherever possible.

Should you require more information on this or would like a detailed list of products used in your practice please call us on 1800 422 287 or email info@orthomax.com.au .

I hope this explains the situation and thank you again for your ongoing support – we wish you all a very happy and safe festive season … see you in 2018!
